This is my studio project 3, done with 3 other friends, Quen Figuracion(Collision, level design), I'sa Hong Xi(AI) and Ong Swee Seng(Some AI and CCTV cameras).

Inspired by SUPERHOT, which is a game where time moves only when you move, we created Gene, which gives you superpowers. One allows you to see through walls, while the other lets you slow down time, slow enough that you can actually cut bullets with a sword or make bullets collide in mid air.

Using your superpower consumes your health, which means you will die if you use it for too long, or get attacked by an enemy. When your health is too low, you'll start to red out and movement is slowed down. Over time, it will regenerate.

Through this project, I managed to improve my weapons system that started with the FPS demo, with support for melee weapons and the ability to pick up and throw them too! Because you are able to enter bullet time(slow motion), I also allowed the possibility for bullets to collide into each other! And it works with melee weapons too. You are able to cut bullets mid flight with a katana, which is really fun and cool, which led me to doing this in the first place!

This used my base framework, allowing weapon pickup / throw / drop. I did the animations, physics, weapon, bullet physics, both super powers, the shaders, screen effects.
